Job Details:

Minimum requirements are as follows:

  • 1000 hours PIC time on A320, 
  • 5000 hours total time
  • Current within 12 months (must have a valid/current PC)
  • Valid ATP license, valid passport, Class A Medical
  • Must be from a country with diplomatic ties to China
  • No incidents or accidents, no license limitations
  •  Age 50 maximum 

Domicile: Chongqing, China


Contract Term: 3 years, renewable. (renewal bonus applies...see below)
 

Option 1:  Resident 

Total Monthly Compensation:  $23,638 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $21,000 per month after line check

•   $833 per month Safety Bonus (paid annually)

•   $972 per month annual bonus (paid annually…$8k, $12k, $15k)

  • $833 per month travel allowance (paid every 6 months)
  • $30,000 bonus for contract renewal
  • 40 days of paid leave per year.

The contract is based on 82.5 hours per month.  Overtime above 80 hours per month at $330/hr.

Option 2:  3 weeks on, 1 week off per month.

Total Monthly Compensation:  $21,638 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $19,000USD per month after line check

•   $833 per month safety bonus  (paid annually)

  • $972 per month annual bonus (paid annually…$8k, $12k, $15k)

•   $833 per month travel allowance (paid every 6 months).

•   $27,000 contract renewal bonus

  • 15 days of paid leave per year

The contract is based on 80 hours per month.  Overtime above 80 hours per month at $300/hr.

Option 3:  20 days on, 10 days off or 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off

Total Monthly Compensation:  $18,367 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $18,000 per month after line check

  • $833 per month safety bonus  (paid annually)
  • $972 per month annual bonus (paid annually…$8k, $12k, $15k)

•   $833 per month travel allowance (paid every 6 months).

  • $24,000 contract renewal bonus

The contract is based on 75 hours per month.  Overtime above 75 hours month at $264/hr.

Option 4:  15 days on, 15 days off OR… 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off and 3 weeks on 4 weeks off (3/2/3/4).

Total Monthly Compensation:  $16,138 per month (including salary, allowance and bonus)

•   $13,500 per month after line check

  • $833 per month safety bonus (paid annually)
  • $972 per month annual bonus (paid annually…$8k, $12k, $15k)

•   $833 per month travel allowance (paid every 6 months).

  • $21,000 contract renewal bonus

The contract is based on 804 hours per year.  Overtime above 804 hours per year at $200/hr.

Renewal Bonus:

For Captains who renew their contract, the following bonus will apply:

  1. annual bonus will be $15,000 per year.  Additionally, renewal bonus will apply as below...
  2. If renewing for 3 years, renewal bonus as follows:
    1. Scheduling option A:  $30,000 per year  
    2. Scheduling option B:  $27,000 per year
    3. Scheduling option C:  $24,000 per year
    4. Scheduling option D: $21,000 per year
  3. If renewing for 6 years, renewal bonus as follows:
    1. Scheduling option A:  $33,000 per year
    2. Scheduling option B:  $30,000 per year
    3. Scheduling option C:  $27,000 per year
    4. Scheduling option D: $24,000 per year

Additional Information: 

West Air will provide you a letter regarding their payment of taxes in China. Expat status may dramatically reduce your national tax liability. Consult your CPA for tax advice.

Note about Compensation and Taxation:
The compensation amounts listed above have been provided by the airline.  The airline has agreed to pay all taxes owed in China on the different compensation amounts and provide a tax receipt to the pilot. All tax matters are handled by the airline including payment of tax and provision of a tax receipt.
