Job Details:

Minimum requirements are as follows:

  • 1000 hours PIC on type
  • 5000 hours Total Time
  • Current on type within 24 months
  • Maximum age: Rated Captains:  55 years of age.
  • Valid/current ATPL
  • Valid passport issued by a country that has diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China
  • Valid/current Class A (First Class) Medical
  • No history of incidents or accidents.  Must provide a letter from your current/previous employer.
  • ICAO Level 4 (or equivalent) English proficiency
  • No criminal history.       

Job Details

Domicile: Chengdu, China

Contract Term: 3 years, renewable.

Total Compensation: UP TO $306,000 per year…$343,200 in the 4th year!

Option 1:  Living in China (45 days of paid annual leave)

Total Compensation: $25,500 per month.
Base salary: $22,500/mo
Housing:      $ 1000/mo
Travel:        $ 1000/mo
Contract Completion Bonus: $36,000 (paid at the end of 3 years)
Overtime: $200/hr.
Option 1...During the 2nd Contract Term:  $28,600/mo

$50,000 renewal bonus
Annual bonus:  4th year…$8,000. 5th year…$12,000. 6th year…$16,000/mo.
$20/hour Safety Bonus:  $1600 per month average
Loyalty Bonus:  4th year, $250/mo. 5th year, $500/mo. 6th year, $750/mo. 7th year, $1000/mo.

Option 2:  Living in China (92 days of paid annual leave)

Total Compensation: $22,600 per month.

Base salary: $19,600/mo
Housing:      $ 1000/mo
Travel:        $ 1000/mo
Contract Completion Bonus: $36,000 (paid at the end of 3 years)
Overtime: $190/hr.
Option 2...During the 2nd Contract Term:  $25,700/mo

Option 3:  Living in China (120 days of paid annual leave)

Total Compensation: $20,500 per month.

Base salary: $17,500/mo
Housing:      $ 1000/mo
Travel:        $ 1000/mo
Contract Completion Bonus: $36,000 (paid at the end of 3 years)
Overtime: $180/hr.
Option 3...During the 2nd Contract Term:  $24,100/mo

Option 4:  Commuter.   (6 weeks on, 4 weeks off)

Total Compensation:  $18,500 per month

Base salary: $15,500/mo
Housing:      $ 1000/mo
Travel:        $ 1000/mo
Contract Completion Bonus: $36,000 (paid at the end of 3 years)
Overtime: $170/hr.
Option 4...During the 2nd Contract Term:  $22,100/mo

Option 5:  Commuter. (4 weeks on, 4 weeks off)

 Total Compensation:  $16,000 per month

Base salary: $13,000/mo
Housing:      $ 1000/mo
Travel:          $ 1000/mo
Contract Completion Bonus: $36,000 (paid at the end of 3 years)
Overtime: $160/hr.
Option 5...During the 2nd Contract Term:  $19,100/mo

Signing Bonus for CAAC license holders:  $50,000!

Instructor allowance: Flight Instructors receive 13% increase of base salary

Renewal Bonus:  $50,000 if you renew your contract.


Benefits:

Chengdu Airlines will provide a total of ten (10) free round trip standby tickets on Chengdu Airlines per year for use of pilot or family members.  Unlimited jumpseat for pilot.

Training pay: $300 per day until checked to the line. Travel allowance ($1000/mo) and housing allowance ($1000/mo) are paid during training.

Sick Leave: 10 days per year

Additional Information: 

Chinese income taxes will be paid by Chengdu Airlines. Expat status may dramatically reduce your national tax liability. Consult your CPA for tax advice.

Note about Compensation and Taxation:
The compensation amounts listed above have been provided by the airline.  The airline has agreed to pay all taxes owed in China on the different compensation amounts and provide a tax receipt to the pilot. All tax matters are handled by the airline including payment of tax and provision of a tax receipt.
